Tomorrow's Highs
The forecast for Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012
Light winds and lingering deep tropical moisture resulted in another morning of dense fog and low cloud ceilings on Tuesday. The thick cloud deck kept afternoon high temperatures significantly lower yesterday than what we have seen in recent days as most locations topped out in the upper 60s and lower 70s. A week frontal boundary just south of Central Florida was the main focus for another round of showers and isolated thunderstorms last evening.
Lots of moisture along with light winds overnight will once again help in the development of low clouds and areas of dense fog this morning. Lows this morning will once again hover within one or two degrees of 60, with plenty of clouds hanging around throughout the day, afternoon highs will not climb much higher than the lower to middle 70s.
Rain chances will be low on today, with the best chance for precipitation coming south of Orlando near the stalled front. Rain chance will creep up a bit on Thursday and Friday as the boundary will provide focus for the rain, with a higher chance for rain coming on Saturday. Dry air begins to filter back into the area on Sunday with rain falling out of the forecast completely by Monday. Morning lows this week will fall to near 60 degrees most mornings, while afternoon highs will remain in the lower to middle 70s.
