Current Temperatures
The forecast for Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012
There will be more sunshine and lower humidity this afternoon, but a chance of rain still lingers in southern Brevard County.
For the afternoon, breezy, northerly winds will usher in slightly drier air, limiting rain chances to the Space Coast and points southward. High cirrus clouds streaming overhead will keep the day mostly cloudy and temperatures will range from 77 inland to 73 on the beaches.
Tonight, some clearing of skies over Central Florida is expected. Lighter, northerly winds and not as many clouds will let low temperatures fall a little closer to normal. Generally, overnight lows will range from 48 in Ocala to 51 in Palm Coast to 54 Orlando to 60 Melbourne.
The old frontal boundary stays stalled to our south tomorrow, keeping the highest moisture levels in that vicinity. Partly to mostly cloudy skies and a cooler day is on tap as high pressure builds in from the north. An isolated shower is possible at best. High temperatures will be seasonable, reaching the low to mid-70s.
Heading into the weekend, high pressure stays to our north. This keeps even cooler temperatures and small rain chances in the forecast for Central Florida. Highs will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s, with overnight lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
