THE VILLAGES -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will make her first campaign to visit to Florida on Sunday.

The campaign has gone back and forth on the visit and News 13 learned Wednesday that Palin was cancelling her appearance because of thunderstorms expected for the area, but on Thursday News 13 learned the trip is back on again.

John McCain's running mate will hold a rally at The Villages. That rally will reportedly be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Market Square in the Lake Sumter Landing.

News 13 asked residents if they could sit down with the vice presidential candidate one-on-one, what would they ask?

"I would ask her what's she going to do for the average person,” said Nancy Greig. “That is not being addressed in this administration."

"There's an excitement that fills you up inside,” said Jo Weber, a member of the Republican Club in The Villages.

Palin's visit on Sunday will come one day after Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama campaigns in the state.

The Obama campaign had previously announced stops in Miami on Friday and Jacksonville on Saturday.

Obama will make his way to Central Florida on Saturday at Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center in Daytona Beach. Doors will open at 8:45 a.m.

Tickets for the event are on sale Friday morning at the Florida Campaign for Change on Beville Road in South Daytona and on Wisconsin Avenue in DeLand from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
