Additional Information

PORT CANAVERAL -- About 500 people were laid off when Sterling Casino's ship left Port Canaveral.

Now many of those employees will find work on a new ship that arrived Sunday.

News 13 was the only station there as the Liquid Vegas made its way into Port Canaveral.

The casino ship can carry up to 900 people. Of those, 250 will be staff, most of which are local hires.

Many of them will be coming from the Sterling's out of work crew.

Other casino ships could soon be on the way. The Canaveral Port Authority is examining other ships’ requests. In the coming years new Disney and Royal Caribbean ships will also be on the way.
