Shawn Lucas, a detention deputy in Polk County, was arrested for selling Oxycontin tablets to undercover detectives.

POLK COUNTY -- A detention deputy was arrested for selling Oxycontin tablets to undercover detectives.

Shawn Lucas, 30, was taken into custody after detectives received a tip.

The sheriff's office said undercover detectives arranged to meet Lucas in the parking lot of an Auburndale supermarket, and Lucas, who was off-duty at the time, reportedly agreed to sell the pills to the undercover agents for about $200.

Lucas immediately resigned.
