EUSTIS -- A Central Florida lawmaker plans to introduce new bills that would place certain bans on cell phone use for drivers.
State Sen. Carey Baker will introduce two new measures next year that would ban drivers 18 or older from writing or reading text messages while driving and ban minors from using cell phones while driving.
The senator introduced a bill during the 2008 session that would ban the use of cellular phones and texting while driving.
That bill failed to clear the Senate's Committee on Transportation during the 2008 session.
