ORLANDO -- Thousands of job seekers were trying to break through this tough economy at the All Florida Job Fair in Orlando Thursday.
What kind of jobs are they looking for? Some said they were looking for manufacturing jobs, others wanted factory work.
Florida has a 6.8 percent unemployment rate, and that is just one reason the line at the Central Florida Expositional Park was wrapped around the building before the job fair started at noon.
Organizers of the All Florida Job Fair said they expected to see at least 5,000 job seekers. There were around 42 vendors looking for employees, including SeaWorld, MetroPCS, AT&T, Goodwill and Orange County Corrections.
Most of the job-seekers were hoping for a job that will help them get by in these hard economic times.
"These job fairs are hopefully set up to give us a better opportunity to get a better job to make a nice living. To be able to afford to provide for our children," said one job-seeker.
The job fair was scheduled to finish up at 3 p.m. Thursday.
