Lung diseases ranging from asthma to lung cancer have almost certainly affected someone we know.

I, personally, suffered horribly from asthma as a child and I remember getting asthma shots twice a week for much of my childhood.

As a parent, I’ve become even more aware of threats to our children’s lungs from second-hand smoke, environmental pollution, dirty air filters, and many other sources.

I could not be more proud to help a wonderful organization like the American Lung Association help educate and raise awareness of not only the threats to our lungs, but more importantly the many measures we all can take to protect ourselves and our loved ones from these threats.

I have worked with many wonderful charities and nonprofit organizations during my life, and I am beyond impressed by the passion and organization with which the American Lung Association spreads its message and helps so many.
