For Janelle Jordan, connecting directly with the viewers makes the biggest impact as an anchor and reporter. That’s why Janelle Jordan is News 13’s Weekend Morning Anchor.

Janelle’s broadcast career has taken her to nearly every part of the country. Before joining News 13 in October 2009, Janelle worked as the morning and noon anchor at CBS affiliate KREM 2 News in Spokane, Wash.
Previously, she anchored at CBS affiliate WTVH in Syracuse, N.Y. While in Syracuse, Janelle also anchored for Fox 68 and provided radio reports for WFBL-AM and WSEN-FM. Janelle began working in Syracuse, anchoring for 24-hour cable news station News 10 Now.
Before moving to the Northeast, she started her career in “Big Sky Country,” anchoring for NBC affiliate KTVH in Helena, Mont.
She’s also done broadcasting projects for Capital News 9 in Albany, N.Y.; Salt Lake City, Utah, CBS affiliate KUTV; Boise, Idaho, NBC Affiliate KTVB; and southern Utah cable network KCSG.
Janelle graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters in Business Administration from Walden University, in Minneapolis. She also attended Southern Utah University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications, with an emphasis in broadcasting and on-air performance.
Janelle has received honors for her work, including Southern Utah’s esteemed Broadcaster of the Year Award, KSUU’s Bronze Achievement in Broadcasting Award, as well as distinguished service in broadcasting honors.
When she’s not covering news, Janelle enjoys reading, photography, painting and spending time with her family, friends and two dogs.
