Jeff Radcliffe, Reporter
Jeff comes to BHSN from KPTM-TV in Omaha, Neb., where he covered everything from Huskers Football to the College World Series.
Born in Ohio, and raised in Virginia, Jeff is thrilled to work in two of the most dynamic sports markets in the country, and be close to family members that reside in Central Florida and Tampa!
Upon graduating with a degree in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech in 1995, Jeff began his career in Roanoke, Va. at WFXR-TV (FOX) while moonlighting as a Top 40 DJ. He continued the TV/radio combo in Harrisonburg, and Richmond, before finally leaving his home state to focus on sports full time at WDTV-TV (CBS) in Clarksburg, W.Va.
After nabbing a few AP Awards, Jeff really got adventurous. He heard the words “Go west young man!” The lure of doing play-by-play landed him at KELO-TV(CBS) in Sioux Falls, S.D.
He braved the frigid wind and snow of the upper Midwest for three years. It was then on to Nebraska, where college baseball is king, Husker football rules, and Tom Osborne is a deity.
Now that he’s in Florida, Jeff hopes add kayaking, and surfing to a list of hobbies that already include golf, basketball, soccer, karaoke, camping, skiing, hiking and mountain climbing.
Jeff is a self-proclaimed “High Pointer,” who’s trying to reach the summit of all 50 states. He’s bagged 33 peaks so far, and his travels have taken him to every state in the U.S. except Alaska.
Jeff and his wife, Jennifer, are currently enjoying Florida’s weather from their home in Longwood.
