Trappers caught a 10-foot crocodile that was strolling through one South Florida neighborhood.

The crocodile -- yes, it was a croc, not an alligator -- was spotted taking a walk in the front yard of a South Miami home, sending the homeowner running for safety.

Police monitored the crocodile's movements before trappers captured it before anyone was injured.

The nearly 250-pound reptile was taken to an undisclosed location in its natural habitat, away from humans.

Police said they believe the croc gained access to the neighborhood by crawling through a gaping hole in a chain-link fence along a nearby canal.
