Just two weeks from the official ground breaking of the SunRail mass transit system, Congressman John Mica launched the Jobs through Connections project to makes sure people will be riding.
On Wednesday morning, the leaders got together to talk about ideas to make sure SunRail takes off.
It was a packed conference room at Leu Gardens in Orlando, as representatives from every SunRail station and mayors from nine different cities were in attendance.
Florida Hospital, Orlando Health, SeaWorld and the creative villages were just a few giving input on how to bring developers to these stations and get people riding.
It was put on by Mica, who said it's now out of his hands and up to these individual groups to get the word out.
"We can build it. It's going to be built. What we have to make sure is that people are riding it," Rep. Mica said.
The project is focused on connecting large employment centers and creating places people need to get to so that SunRail is a success.
