A Seminole County father is free on bond after being arrested for threatening a bus full of students.
James Jones said he was going after the kids that bullied his daughter with disabilities.
The family's attorney says the girl was bullied for a month?
Since the beginning of school, Jones' lawyer says the sixth grade girl has been tormented on the bus.
The attorney said open condoms were put on the girls head and she was called names -- that's when her dad snapped.
"This young lady has been bullied since the first day of school, this is a new school for her it was an overwhelming experience she is currently on suicide watch because of this matter," said Sadiki Alexander, Jones attorney.
Alexander talked on national news shows about why Jones stormed onto his daughter's school bus in a fit of rage.
Jones has since said he's sorry but said he had his reasons.
"My daughter is not going to be hazed and beat up and touched on like what they done, I am very sorry, I apologized to that," Jones said.
Jones' daughter has cerebral palsy. At the United Cerebral Palsy center in Orlando they are always working with kids with disabilities and their peers to teach them that just because someone is different doesn't mean they deserve to be picked on.
"It's the other children that tend to see them as having a disability," said Ellie Hauser of UCP.
Hauser works with kids who have all kinds of disabilities.
It's not always easy for them to go to school and fit in, she said.
Hauser says the bullying can be awful for the students but sometimes it's even worse for the parents, Hauser said.
"There's a lot of grief and loss and people aren't aware of the grief and loss and the extent that people go through, and so then you have some of that going on and some of the stress going on," Hauser said.
Jones said he complained to his daughter's school.
Seminole County School District released a statement in response to the incident:
The incident alleged by Mr. Jones to have occurred on the school bus between another student and his daughter involved a student other than his daughter. The student involved in that incident did report the incident to school authorities. It was fully investigated and appropriate action taken.
Mr. Jones did not report his concerns to school administrators. He boarded a school bus in a hostile manner and used extreme profanity in threatening the students. This is not acceptable behavior for a parent or any person to use on a bus or in a classroom.
SCPS has a strict anti-bullying policy (School Board Policy 5.421) and is committed to investigating and taking action against those who violate this policy.
Jones said he wasn't satisfied with the response from the school so he took matters into his own hands.
There are two very different sides. Did he do the right thing and protect his daughter, or did he go too far?
