The Kissimmee Police Department will be offering a free self defense class for women. The class is scheduled for Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kissimmee Police Department.
The self defense class will be taught by self-defense instructor Keith Mobley and Sergeant Jaime Alberti. The instructors will be teaching women some easy techniques on how to defend themselves should they become a victim. They will also discuss crime prevention tips.
“It is important for women to be able to defend themselves should they become a victim of crime,” said Chief Iwanski, “Educating yourself is the best way to lessen your chances of becoming a victim.”

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
