The mystery of a second body found in a South Daytona neighborhood has been partially solved. Police say it is a woman.
However, police didn't release an identity.
Police said the autopsy began around 9 a.m. and was expected to be complete by noon. The human remains were discovered by cadaver dogs Friday next to the home of Goldie Robinson, 78.
Robinson has been missing since July.
This is also the same neighborhood where the body of Arthur Sheldon, 67, was found Aug. 26.
Robinson and Sheldon shared the same caretaker, Kimberly Smith, who is considered a person of interest in the case.
For Fred Roberts, Robinson's son, Tuesday can't come soon enough because he wants to know if the body found Friday is his mother's.
However, he told News 13 he is still hopeful she's alive.
"The only thing that I can hold on to now is that big dream and that's that someone out there is taking care of mom and she is safe and sound," Roberts said.
Smith remains locked up in the Orange County Jail on unrelated charges. She has been arrested in the past on charges of fraud and using a stolen identity.
Investigators said she is not cooperating in this case.
