Two Bay area officials are facing violence charges after two incidents that occurred over the weekend.
Polk County deputies responded to a domestic violence call at the home of Lakeland police officer Sharonda Bryant on Sunday night.
According to deputies, Bryant and her estranged husband were fighting over a car when she allegedly elbowed him in the face.
Bryant has been placed on administrative leave with pay while the incident is investigated.
An investigation is also taking place in the arrest of April Hoaglin, a child protection services investigator.
Hoaglin was taken into custody in Treasure Island on Sunday. She is accused of battery and dating violence.
