Police: Mom, son, cat killed in murder-suicide

OCALA --

A medical examiner's report confirms the two people found dead inside a Marion County apartment last week died in a murder/suicide.

Officials say Carolyn Moloney's death was a homicide.

She was found sitting in a chair, shot in the head.

Investigators say her son’s death was a suicide.

They say they recovered a revolver in the bedroom where Terrence Moloney’s body was found, but they did not find a note.

The two were found Wednesday inside a two-bedroom apartment on N.E. 39th Avenue in Ocala.

A cat was also found shot and killed.
