Two people were stabbed in the middle of a downtown Orlando nightclub Friday night.

Police say two people walking to Mako's on Church Street cut off a transient riding his bicycle.

Investigators say the man got so upset he went into the club and stabbed the two with a box cutter.

The two were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and are expected to be OK.

The scene drew crowds of people, some who are now questioning their own safety.

"Most of the time I feel like Orlando is a pretty safe place, but you hear about this stuff happening all the time. It does make you think twice," said Mark Metz.

“We've kind of questioned coming downtown several times. There's a lot of strange people, and tonight I'm done,” said Becky Sexton.

There is plenty of police presence at night in downtown Orlando.  They block off streets to try to make the area safer, and can have quick response times.

Police were able to capture the suspect immediately.  His name has not been released.
