Energy expo shines in New Smyrna Beach

Last Updated: Sunday, October 10, 2010 9:22 PM

New Smyrna Beach was the place to be on Sunday as the "Here Comes the Sun" energy expo hit the beach.

The expo showcased solar and other forms of clean energy to power homes and power hybrid vehicles among other things.

The event organizer said the idea for this expo comes from easy ways to lower a persons carbon footprint.

"If everybody does a little bit, like changing a lightbulb, checking their air pressure in their tires, consider buying a high energy vehicle. These kinds of things can lower the amount of carbon in the air," said organizer, Grey Wilson.
