There are more than 41,410 children living in Orange County below the poverty line.
That's enough to fill the Amway Arena at least twice.
That’s why eight semi-trailers full of food and personal care products stopped at the Central Florida Fairgrounds Wednesday.
Each family received a 25-pound box of food, a 10-pound box of personal care items and a box of Avon products.
The boxes are designed to help a family of four for up to one week.
Many of these families were considered middle class just a year ago.
For the first time in their lives, many of these adults are unable to provide for their families.
"Toward the end of the month, we usually run out of food and it means a lot," said Karen Walden.
A number of volunteers joined in for a good cause.
Orlando Magic Community ambassadors and former NBA players Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw were among the many volunteers.
This is just the latest stop on Feed The Children's Americans Feeding Americans Caravan.
Feed The Children already served more than 85,000 families across the country. The organization is planning similar distributions in 20 additional American cities throughout the rest of this year.
