Laura Caballero, the woman known as Sister Mary, took the witness stand Friday dressed in her habit while her lawyers fought what they call faulty warrants used in a search of her home.
She testified about the mundane details of her Lake County church.
Caballero's church in Eustis was searched Feb. 12.
Her attorneys filed motions to suppress evidence collected during that search, including birth certificates, passports and photos of children.
During the hearing, the state called more parents to testify that Caballero took their children and convinced them to sign papers saying she had legal custody of them in case they were deported to Argentina.
Caballero is also known as Sister Mary at the St. Filumena Catholic Church in Eustis.
The church is not a Roman Catholic Church affiliated with the Orlando Diocese or the Vatican, nor are its clergy and nuns.
