Lightning ignites brush fire in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY --

Sky 13 was over a brush fire on Alafaya Trail near Curry Ford Road Thursday morning.

The Division of Forestry said the brush fire was started from a lightning strike on Wednesday morning. The blaze has scorched 40 acres.

No structures are being threatened by the fire at this time.

Fire officials said they will put a fire line around the blaze Thrusday morning.

Fire officials are also responding to another brush fire that has flared up on Peabody Street. That fire could be a result of a lightning string as well.
