An Iowa egg producer said it is recalling 384 million eggs linked to an outbreak of salmonella poisoning.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the eggs come from Wright County Egg, and have been distributed around the country and packaged under several brand names, including:
- Albertson
- Boomsma’s
- Dutch Farms
- Farm Fresh
- Hillandale
- Kemps
- Lucerne
- Lund
- Mountain Dairy
- Ralph’s
- Shoreland
- Sunshine
The recalled egg cartons are stamped with a code starting with a P and ending in numbers from 136 to 225.
The Food and Drug Administration advised that if you have purchased the recalled eggs, do not consume them. Instead, return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
So far, there have been no cases found in Florida.
