Latest Advisories

  • No Wake Zone: In effect for much of St. Johns River
  • Tropical Storm Warning: 20 to 60 nautical miles off the coast of Flagler, Volusia and Brevard counties
  • Flood Warning: In effect for river above Lake Harney until further notice.

Emergency Declaration

  • President George W. Bush signed off on Gov. Crist's request of an Emergency Declaration for the State of Florida. Homeland Security and FEMA will coordinate the federal response. Bush declares federal disaster for Brevard, Monroe, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties. Bush approved Volusia and Brevard counties for federal individual assistance on Aug. 26.

Insurance Claims

  • More than 10,000 insurance claims made statewide.

St. Johns River

  • Expected to crest in Sanford at 8.1 feet and in the DeLand area at 5.6 feet on Thursday.
  • Only one lane open on S.R. 46 from Jungle Road To Hatbill Road. Alternating directions enforced
