MIAMI -- Tropical Storm Nana formed in the eastern Atlantic Sunday evening, but is predicted to weaken into a tropical depression by Monday.
Nana became the 14th named storm of the 2008 hurricane season.

This is the latest Tropical Storm Nana advisory from the National Hurricane Center.
Tropical Storm Nana in eastern Atlantic is expected to weaken.
At 11 p.m. EDT, the center of Tropical Storm Nana was located near latitude 16.6 north, longitude 38.8 west or about 980 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands.
Nana is moving toward the west-northwest near 8 mph, and this motion is expected to continue for the next day or two.
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph with higher gusts. Nana is expected to weaken to a tropical depression on Monday.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 85 miles to the northeast and southeast of the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb or 29.71 inches.
The next advisory will be issued by the National Hurricane Center at 5 a.m. EDT.
