VOLUSIA COUNTY -- Some construction along Interstate 4 could have an impact on your commute if you head through Volusia County.
Transportation officials said the exit ramp from westbound I-4 to State Road 44 in DeLand will close for about two months so they can widen the roads.
This could start as early as Sunday, March 16.
The closing is part of a $58.6 million plan to widen the highway and add a few bridges.
While the construction continues, you can use a new exit ramp to westbound S.R. 44. However, you will have to take a detour on Grimm Lane and a service road to get to eastbound S.R. 44.
