There are several road construction projects of note throughout the Central Florida area.

Brevard County

In Brevard County, drivers at night can expect to run into some lane closures on Interstate 95.

Nightly closures can be expected all this week near the Palm Bay Road exit on I-95 as work continues to widen Palm Bay Road.

The road itself will also have some lanes closed overnight all this week...

Orange County

In Orange County, be prepared to be detoured through downtown Orlando.

Monday morning crews were scheduled to shut down Central Boulevard between Garland and Orange Avenues all week.

The shutdown is so crews can rebuild a railroad crossing there.

The road is expected to reopen Friday at 5 p.m.

Volusia County

In Volusia County, the Florida Department of Transportation is opening up a new bridge over Interstate 4.

Construction began on the Orange Camp Road Bridge this past summer and its completion means more traffic will be able to get through and a detour on Church Street will no longer necessary.

Crews will demolish the old bridge parallel to the new one..

The bridge is part of the $58 million project to widen I-4 between State Road 472 and State Road 44 to six lanes.
