Captain Bill Miller is a Tampa Bay area native and lifetime angler with strong ties to the local fishing community.

While earning a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from the University of Tampa, Bill launched his fishing career in 1971 when he teamed up with legendary Gulf Coast skipper, Captain Bobby Buswell.

Learning his trade as a deck mate, Bill laid the foundation for his own successful fishing future. Bill started guiding in the mid-70's, and in 1984 he earned one of only two Grande Master Angler titles ever awarded by catching 30 designated species throughout North America, South America, and the Caribbean.

Bill is also a noted outdoor writer, book author and seminar speaker who has been featured in numerous print articles, as well as on other television and radio shows.

"Hooked on Fishing" started on cable in 1996 as an hour-long, live call-in show. It went through quite a few changes over the years before becoming what it is now. The show airs on Bright House Sports Network to more than a million homes and is known as "Tampa Bay's premiere fishing show."
