The Web site UrbanDictionary.com specializes in keeping track of the latest urban street slang -- most fairly harmless, some downright obscene.
Here are some examples we can actually show you:
Fornever means never occurring; a nonexistent period of time. In usage, a user of the site has offered the example: "Hanson will fornever be the greatest band this country has never known."
A January joiner is somebody who cannot stick with anything for very long, like maybe for one month out of a year.
Here is one you may know: It is what it is -- a phrase that seems to simply state the obvious, but actually implies helplessness.
How about kthxbye? It means "OK, thanks, bye," if you are being literal -- or "You can shut up now," if you are trying to mock somebody's Internet shorthand.
Are you D and O? That one is easy -- it means you are down and out.
To wigout means to freak out, go crazy, or loose one's mind.
Dandruff, according to Urban Dictionary, can mean several things, including someone who acts way cool, but is anything but; fake drugs; or it can be used to call someone weak, as in: "I am going to waste you away like the dandruff you are."
"Luke, I am your father." It comes from "Star Wars" -- we know Darth Vader is actually Luke's father -- according to Urban Dictionary, the phrase means, "Yes, I finally understand."
Finally, a silly one from years back, nincompoop. It means a silly, ridiculous fool, and it is taken from the Latin "non compos mentis," someone not of sound mind.
Now, here is a disclaimer: This is a dictionary of street language. Some street language is crude, rude and Rated R -- not for kids, period. We mention this Web site because you might have some teenagers who are using some rough language they say is meaningless, when it might be incindiary.
