APWagner.com is the Web site for the appliance parts company that has been around more than 75 years. They have warehouses in New York and Canada, crammed to the rafters with spare parts.
The best way to use this Web site is to follow the directions -- i.e. the "Start Here!" section on the left side of the home page. If you know the model number of your appliance, or the part number you are looking for, your search will go much faster.
For folks like me, if you have no numbers, just a description of the thing -- like maybe a range hood part -- they do have word searches.
For many of the items, they have pictures to show you what is available, like vent filters. I looked for those things for weeks before I found them here. Ordering is as simple as a click away.
You can also look up the parts by manufacturer. Say you have a Frigidaire refrigerator, and you need to replace the water filters. You look under the manufacturer's link, and then look under water filters. The picture may look like yours but made by a different company, but it still works, according to the Web site.
The price for the water filter is $37.49. Things are always cheaper when you order in bulk. The original Frigidaire filter is about 50 cents cheaper.
Most parts ship the same day. Select the "Estimate Shipping" link in your shopping cart for the cost of shipping.
If you are looking for the convenience of getting the parts in the mail, this site is pretty hard to beat, but to be honest, there are local appliance parts companies that are a bit cheaper than APWagner.
The APWagner site is a good source, though, to give you an idea of about how much a replacement part is going to cost.
Be warned: Replacement parts for almost anything are a lot more expensive then you may have imagined.
