ORLANDO -- Football fans will be thrilled with a big announcement from Bright House Sports Network, seen only on Bright House Networks.

The station that offers 24-hour local sports programming just inked a deal with ESPN to bring you one of the most competitive conferences in college sports. Bright House Sports Network will now carry Southeastern Conference games.

The five-year deal with ESPN begins immediately. Bright House viewers can watch dozens of SEC sporting events -- and it’s not just football. You’ll be able to watch half a dozen SEC football games, more than three dozen men’s and women’s basketball games, baseball and it will even air dozens of Olympic sports.

“This agreement allows Bright House Sports Network to really step up our commitment to college sports and offer our customers more of what they love – and the SEC is one of the powerhouse conferences, with some of the greatest traditions in the country,” said Paul Kosuth, Bright House Sports Network’s General Manager.

The network already shows USF and UCF games, and Bright House Sports Network also announced it extended its deal with the Big East to ensure that USF football and men’s basketball games will continue to be seen on the network. And Bright House Sports Network is committed to UCF games…in fact, if there’s a scheduling conflict with a UCF and SEC game, the station will air both. The SEC game will air on digital cable channel 1,000 and the UCF game will air on cable channel 47, Bright House Sports Network. The channel is always working to increase its coverage of college sports, and it carries games from the Big East, Conference USA, Mid-America and the Sunbelt.

As part of the agreement with ESPN, Bright House Sports Network will also sponsor the preseason basketball tournament the Old Spice Classic in Orlando in November and two bowl games: the St. Petersburg Bowl December 19 and the Papa Johns Bowl in Birmingham on January 2.

The network will receive primetime games, with the most competitive matchups available.

This Saturday at 7:30 p.m., you can watch Bright House Sports Network’s live game coverage of UCF versus the University of Buffalo on digital cable channel 47.

Meanwhile, the SEC live game, Ole Miss hosting Southeastern Louisiana, will be on digital cable channel 1000.

This week also marks the one-year anniversary of Bright House Sports Network.

Bright House Sports Network, channel 47 on your cable dial is available only on Bright House Networks.
