ORLANDO -- The final shot of the final round at Bay Hill's Arnold Palmer invitational was certainly a memorable one, with Tiger Woods sinking a 24-foot, 2-inch putt downhill.
When it was all said and done, Woods came out on top of the leaderboard by just one shot. But that was enough to give him his fifth straight victory and his 64th all-time PGA victory, tying him with Ben Hogan.
"You know, to be honest with you, I don't know what I did. I just remember Stevie had my hat in his hand. I really can't remember exactly what I did. I was just so excited. It will be interesting to see what the replay is. I'm happy I was actually able to turn my game around this week. I didn't start out hitting the ball very well. I figured a few things out and hit the ball a lot better today which was nice on a day where I really needed to. I started out tied for the lead I really had to hit the ball well and I did all day," Woods said.
It certainly isn't the first time he's done that. Of the 46 times Tiger has had at least a share of the lead going into the final round, he's won 43 times.
Meanwhile Cliff Kresge didn't win the tournament, but the kid who used to come to Bay Hill to get autographs finished tied for third.
"When I was a little kid, I never thought it was going to come to this, but it's pretty exciting. No doubt about it. To see my name on that big board with everybody up there. It's a dream come true," Kresge said.
For the masses of people that came to see great players playing great, it really couldn't end any better.
