Endeavour Inspection Shows No Launch Damage

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER -- An inspection of space shuttle Endeavour has shown no damage to the wings or nose of the spacecraft.
Endeavour is racing towards its rendezvous with the International Space Station.
Astronauts examined the shuttle Monday night for signs of any damage following a spectacular early morning liftoff.

The post-launch inspections are routine. Mission managers want to make sure nothing penetrated Endeavour’s heat shields.
A few pieces of foam insulation broke off the fuel tank during the launch, but NASA officials said they do not think the foam caused any damage.
