KENNEDY SPACE CENTER -- The countdown to Saturday's launch of space shuttle Endeavour began Wednesday night.
At a 10 a.m. shuttle briefing, NASA officials said thunderstorms were a concern. There's only a 40 percent chance of good weather for the launch. Officials also said there is a 20 percent chance of weather prohibiting tanking.
At this point, there is a 60 percent chance of good weather for launch on Sunday and 70 percent for Monday.
The shuttle's seven member crew is heading to the International Space Station on what is planned to be one of the longest station construction mission to date.
The flight is scheduled to last 16 days and includes five spacewalks.
The crew arrived Tuesday and will spend the rest of the week in final training and preparations.
This is the third attempt to launch Endeavour. Fuel leaks kept the shuttle grounded.
