KENNEDY SPACE CENTER -- Space shuttle Atlantis is now at the launch pad.
On Thursday, the orbiter spent six hours making the slow trek from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad.
NASA now doesn't have much wiggle room before a planned October launch after delays from Tropical Storm Fay.
However, the space agency is keeping a close eye on Hurricane Ike.
NASA would have to roll the shuttle back to safety if hurricane force winds are forecasted to hit Kennedy Space Center.
NASA hopes to launch Atlantis on Oct. 8 on an 11-day mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope. You can see the launch live on News 13 when it happens.
