WASHINGTON -- NASA released colorful new pictures of space taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in honor of its 100,000th orbit of Earth.
The satellite was aimed at a region of celestial birth and renewal.
The region is a firestorm of raw stellar creation.
The red area of the iamges shows emission from sulfur atoms, green from glowing hydrogen, and blue from glowing oxygen.
