KENNEDY SPACE CENTER -- Space shuttle Discovery was rolled over from its Kennedy Space Center processing hangar, to the Vehicle Assembly building Saturday.
NASA moved Discovery earlier than usual to give themselves extra time to prepare for the planned May 31 launch to the International Space Station.
The orbiter will be mounted on top of a 76-wheel transporter.
At the Vehicle Assembly building, Discovery will be hoisted onto a mobile launcher platform, and connected to an external tank with attached solid rocket boosters.
The fully assembled shuttle was scheduled to roll out to Launch Pad 39A Saturday, May 3.
