TALLAHASSEE-- U.S. Sen. John McCain is endorsing Gov. Charlie Crist in his campaign for U.S. Senate.
The Charlie Crist for Senate Campaign made the announcement Wednesday morning.
"Today I am pleased to endorse Charlie Crist for the United States Senate," said Senator McCain. "Now more than ever, we need leaders who are committed to lower taxes, limiting government spending, and fighting for the people are needed in Washington."
This isn't the first time McCain has helped Crist in a campaign. Crist received McCain's help during his campaign for governor in 2006.
Crist returned the favor in 2008 when he endorsed McCain during his presidential run. The Florida governor was also rumored to be on the shortlist of McCain's possible running mates.
