Crist, Rubio In Dead Heat For Senate
Thursday, December 17, 2009 7:22:12 AM
ORLANDO -- The race for retired Sen. Mel Martinez’s seat in Washington is in a dead heat.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Gov. Charlie Crist is tied with his rival, former House Speaker Marco Rubio, at 43 percent each.
Some political analysts said they believe Crist, who was once far ahead of Rubio in the polls, is facing trouble from conservative Republicans.
Crist came under fire for backing President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus package earlier in the year.
Officials said Rubio has positioned himself as a conservative standard bearer.

If the Republican primary were held now, who would get your vote: Crist or Rubio?
