DENVER -- Barack Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for the White House Thursday night.
Obama spoke to approximately 84,000 people at the stadium used by the NFL's Denver Broncos.
During his speech, Obama vowed to end the war in Iraq and end American dependence on Middle East oil within a decade.
He also focused on the economy to help the middle class, and went on the attack against Republican rival John McCain days before the GOP convention begins Sept. 1.
"Sen. McCain likes to talk about judgment. But really, what does it say about your judgment when you think George Bush has been right more than 90 percent of the time? I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to take a 10 percent chance on change,” Obama said in his speech.
Obama said the country needs a president that can grasp at the future and not embrace the ideas of the past.
