There's no doubt the race for the White House has been a tough one for all candidates,  but these days two in particular are really feeling the pressure.

John McCain won half the battle when he became the presumptive GOP nominee last month, but for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, the battle for the Democratic prize is still going strong.

In a race as tight as the one for the Democratic nomination, there is no such thing as too much star power. At a New York City concert thrown in her honor Wednesday night, Clinton shared the stage with Elton John and, of course, talked politics.

"What I want you to know is I'm still standing, and I believe this country is worth fighting for," Clinton said.

Obama kept his eyes on the next big contest in the presidential race -- Pennsylvania, which is just two weeks away.

The latest CNN poll of polls shows the Illinois senator is narrowing the gap between he and his Democratic rival, now only trailing by 6 points.

Hoping to win over even more voters, Obama told a Pennsylvania crowd that if they want real change, they won't get it from his opponents.

"Sen. Clinton is a good person, hardworking senator, she doesn't see the problem with lobbyists in Washington. I honor John McCain's service to our country, but that doesn't mean we have to agree with his policies. If you think about his policies, he's essentially running for George Bush's third term," Obama said.

Stumping in Connecticut Wednesday, McCain tried to reassure voters that if he is elected, he won't be more of the same.

"As President of the United States, I would have a press conference at least every two weeks, because i think you gotta communicate with the American people," Mccain said.
