ORLANDO -- Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary made it known Wednesday who he is supporting to take over for him as sheriff.
Beary endorsed former Orlando Police Chief Jerry Demings. After spending 16 years as Orange County's top cop, Beary said Demings has the experience and the courage to lead one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the state of Florida.
Demings is up against former Edgewood police chief John Tegg, who was also a former Orange County sheriff's deputy.
Next Tuesday night, Scott Harris will moderate a debate between the two men live on News 13. Be sure to tune at 7 p.m. for the debate from the campus of the University of Central Florida.
You also have a chance to get in on the questions. If you have a question for either Tegg or Demings, send an e-mail to election@cfnews13.com, and your question may be answered.
