J. Robert Ward, 61, 5277 Country Club Drive, Isleworth, is a prominent real estate developer who filed bankruptcy in October 2008.

It's in the heart of Orange County's most prestigious and upscale communities

According to his profile on LinkedIn, an online business network, Ward, is the managing member of Walton Street Advisors and chairman and chief executive officer at Land Resources.

Land Resources filed bankruptcy in October 2008. After filing bankruptcy, closed six sales offices in five states and laid off 70 people.

The company listed $15.6 million in assets, and were auctioned off in January.

According to Orange County Property Appraiser records, Ward purchased the home in 2007. The 8,858-square-foot mansion is valued at $3.5 million. A real estate agency's Web site shows the home is listed for sale at $5.2 million.

Orange County Comptroller records show golf legend Arnold Palmer owned Ward's home in the early 1990s.
