Universal Orlando Honors Veterans With In-Park Parade
Universal Orlando Resort's Veterans Network -- comprised of more than 400 team members who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces -- will honor all veterans by marching together in a special in-park parade Wednesday.
In addition to Universal Orlando veterans, the parade will also include members of the Armed Forces reserve, the Orlando Police and Fire Departments, the National Guard, area High School ROTC's Multi-Branch Color Guard, the Jones High School marching band and local veterans associations. During the parade, there will be a ceremonial flag-raising. In the afternoon, there will be a private lunch for Universal's veterans.

Cattleman's Steakhouse partners with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Retired NFL Players Association to honor Central Florida Veterans with Orlando's First Ever 72 oz Steak Challenge.
It is open to the public and will feature a free BBQ dinner for all active military and veterans as well as appearances by the Retired NFL Players Association of Central Florida. Portions of proceeds will directly benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Central Florida.

For 2009, the health fair will have a twist! Since November 11th is Veterans' Day, they will also be celebrating America's veterans. Along with the health screenings, services and products information that will be featured, the VFW "Moving Memorial" special display honoring our veterans will be assembled for all to enjoy.
Admission is free to the public. The first 150 seniors arriving at the fair will receive invitations to a special formal educational plated lunch hosted by some of Brevard's top senior service companies.

Elvis tribute Artist Dwight Icenhower will entertain the crowd with songs from the King's G.I. days. Following a local color guard, miliitary vehicles and classic cars will cruise down the main street of Old Town to show appreciation for our Veterans and active military personnel.
Retired Colonel Gary Grimes will preside over a 21-gun salute and flag folding ceremony. Attendees of the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., can also listen to veterans tell their stories on video, view an American Bald Eagle display and and touch a part of history at the military memorabilia tent.
Molly's Adopt A Sailor, www.mollysadoptasailor.com., encourages all patriots to bring stocking stuffers to be distributed to a Seabee Battalion currently deployed in Afghanistan.
Veterans and active military members will receive 50 percent off the Mega Ride Band all day Wednesday.
