Brevard County

Volusia County

Fay has been taking a toll in Volusia County.

With much of the eastern side of the storm spending most of the day out over the Atlantic, a relentless easterly wind, combined with steady rain, caused several power lines and trees to fall.

Nearly 1,000 customers lost their electricity at various times throughout the day.

Traffic was tied up when a power line fell across a Daytona Beach street.

Fay also caused a tree to fall on a car in Daytona Beach.

After looking at the latest update on the storm, emergency officials are expecting more damage.
