PALM BAY -- A nurse is apparently the only woman in Brevard County to complete marathons in all 50 states.
Fiona Wright, 46, has only been seriously running since 2002.
This past May, she completed her goal of running a marathon, which is 26.2 miles, in every state in the United States.
She moved to Florida from England when she was 26 years old and said running has opened up her world to an amazing community of people.
Wright shared pictures, medals and awards that she was received at races. She calls running therapeutic.
"I've just been amazed that I can do it. It's a mental thing and you just need to tell yourself that you can do it," Wright said.
Wright works as a nurse at Palm Bay Community Hospital in the emergency room.
She said her flexible schedule gives her the ability to travel and run.
Wright said she has made great friends throughout the country.
In addition to each state, Wright has also run races in China, Antarctica, Scotland and Italy.
