Michael Jackson Public Memorial Set For Tuesday At Staples Center

LOS ANGELES -- A public memorial for Michael Jackson is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Staples Center.
There will be 17,500 tickets available. Eleven thousand are for inside the center. The rest will be for a simulcast viewing across the street at the Nokia Theatre.
The tickets will be free through a lottery system.
However, city officials said if you do not have a ticket, stay away from the area.
There is a concern that the city can not really afford such a big event.
But the city said there is money in the budget set aside for big events like this, and if anyone would like to help out with the costs as a tribute to Jackson to let them know.
