Danielle Olsen is facing charges of faking a carjacking because she was behind on her car payments.
DAYTONA BEACH -- A Volusia County woman is facing charges of faking a carjacking because she was behind on her car payments.

Investigators said Danielle Olsen, 23, called 911 to say a man with a gun threatened to shoot her, and then stole her car.

That car had just been found overturned in a ditch on 10th Street.

Deputies said as they kept talking to Olsen, her story changed and eventually it didn't add up.

They said she eventually  confessed that she made up the story because her finance company was going to repossess the car.

Deputies later found a metal rod used to hold the gas pedal down so the car would crash.
