What’s Closed July 3–4

With Independence Day falling on a Saturday this year, many businesses are observing Friday as a holiday.
Check the schedule of openings and closings before you run errands this weekend.
- Post offices: Most postal facilities close by noon Friday and all day, Saturday, July 4.
- Friday: Regular mail delivery services will be available. However, and most collection times will be advanced to noon. For retail or collection services after noon Friday, contact a local postmaster for locations maintaining normal retail and lobby collection hours
- City and county offices: Closed
- Courthouses: Closed
- State and federal buildings: Closed
- LYNX: Regular schedule Friday and the holiday schedule Saturday and Sunday. Check the transportation Web site in your county for areas not served by LYNX.
- Libraries: Closed Friday and Saturday
- Waste collection: Waste management in most counties schedule trash pick for July 3, if that is the normal pick-up day for a neighborhood.
