DELTONA (AP) -- A Florida family featured on the reality television show "Supernanny" is being investigated for possible child abuse.  Authorities said the video is part of their evidence.

The state Department of Children & Families said it wants to make sure the children featured in a Feb. 13 episode are safe and that the family is receiving counseling. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is also investigating.

The episode featured the Davis family of Deltona.  In it, Phil Davis slaps a young child in the face. He is also seen repeatedly cursing at the family's five children, ages 2 to 14.

DCF said they want to make sure that behavior is not continuing to occur. No criminal charges have been filed.

Phil's father said the kids are healthy and that his son loves them.
